BMWEC presents certificates to more than 300 migrant students

Burmese Migrant Workers’ Education Committee (BMWEC) presented certificates to more than 300 students who passed the exam in 2017-2018 academic year, said its chair Naw Sar Al.

The certificate-presenting ceremony was held at Sarthulay basic education high schools in Mae Sot on September 8.

“The BMWEC presented certificates to children of Myanmar migrant workers in Mae Sot of Thailand. The BMWEC presented completion certificates to students every year. We present primary education completion certificates to 227 grade-five students and to middle education completion certificates to 93 grade-nine students. There are 22 Myanmar migrant schools and three exam centers in Mae Sot near Tak province in Myanmar-Thailand border,” she added.

There are more than 2,000 students at 22 Myanmar migrant schools.
