Turkish Police Arrest 68 Illegal Migrants

AGRI/AYDIN/EDIRNE – Turkish security forces captured 68 illegal migrants throughout the country on Thursday.
During an operation waged in Turkey’s eastern province of Agri, security forces detained 17 illegal migrants of Afghan origin.
In a separate operation in Kusadasi town of the Aegean province of Aydin, 16 illegal migrants were captured. They were from Palestine and Mauritania, police said.
Turkish gendarme teams detained 35 illegal migrants in an operation conducted in northwestern province of Edirne. The illegal migrants were of Burmese, Palestinian and Iraqi origin.
All illegal migrants will be deported following legal proceedings, security forces said.
