Myanmar embassy negotiates with Chinese authorities to allow its citizens to return

Myanmar embassy in Beijing is making negotiations with Chinese authorities to allow Myanmar citizens in China to return home, announced the embassy.

Myanmar citizens working in China contacted the embassy to help them to return home as Coronavirus is spreading in China and the embassy contacted Foreign Ministry of China, Department of Consular Affairs, respective regional authorities and police stations to inform about it.

Provinces in China are large and Myanmar embassy urged its citizens in China to provide their addresses and phone numbers in details.

Foreigners from many countries are working in China and Myanmar embassy noticed its citizens to send the copies of NRCs and household lists via Viber or Wechat to prevent other citizens entering Myanmar.

If the Chinese authorities are asking for certificates of identity, Myanmar embassy will ask photo and profile of Myanmar citizens to hand the documents to the Chinese authorities.

Myanmar citizens in Yunnan Province, Sichuan Province, Guizhou Province and Chongqing can contact to Myanmar Consular General Office in Kunming and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Hunan Province and Guangdong Province can contact to Myanmar Consular General Office in Nanning, according to Myanmar embassy.

Moreover Myanmar citizens in Hubei Province and Wuhan can contact to Myanmar embassy in Beijing if they have problem to obtain food.
