The Minimum Wage Law (the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Law No. 7/2013)1

Article 2 of the Minimum Wage Law covers those working in the commercial, production and service, agricultural and livestock breeding businesses, and includes those with permanent contracts as well as those doing temporary work or piece-work.

It covers apprentices and trainees, clerks and staff, outside workers, house maids and drivers, security men, guards, sanitary workers, and decoration workers. It also extends to workers in the Special Economic Zones. It excludes family of the employer, civil service personnel, and seafarers.
